Anglian Business Solutions provides high quality raw materials and components for the manufacturing industries in India with our focus on Bright Bar Steel products and Coal for manufacturing steel and the power sector in India.
With our two, state of the art Bright Bar plants coming up in Pune and Chennai we are well poised to meet the bourgeoning demand from the automobile industry for high grade Bright Bar products both for the local market as well as for exports.
Using our vast network of partners in Australia, Indonesia, South Africa, CIS countries and the United States we can supply Energy coal, Anthracite and Metallurgical coal for steel production, electric power generation and other manufacturing industries in India.
Anglian Business Solutions is part of the Anglian Holdings group, a global conglomerate with offices in London , Zug (Switzerland) and Dubai which extend investments into a diverse array of business interests, including steel, commodity trading, energy, real estate, luxury retirement homes, leisure resorts, sports, business incubation and lifestyle, amongst others.
Anglian Business Solutions was set up to focus on our two main sectors in India – Steel and Commodities. Anglian Holdings first foray in India is Omega Bright Steel and Components, a venture with technological tie-up with Omega Bright Steel, a 40 year old leading Bright Bar manufacturer based in Faridabad, Haryana for a state of the art, automated Bright Bar processing plant at Chakan, Pune which will be operational by the end of 2011. Anglian Business Solutions has firmed up plans for a plant in Chennai which be operational by 2013. Pune and Chennai have become major automobile hubs and there is increasing demand for Bright Bars for automobile components both in the domestic market as well as for export. The Omega-Anglian collaboration is a part of Anglian’s vision about linking technology from Europe to India and both plants will incorporate the latest knowhow to produce high quality products to our customers.
Anglian Business solutions is organised as a lead supplier of Indonesian energy coal, South African steam coal, CIS origin anthracite and steam coal. We have a number of partners and mine owners working in these countries ready to meet exact specifications and ship materials. We source metallurgical coal from Australia and United States for customers round the globe. Our core business is marketing steam coal of mid to high calorific values, anthracite for use in various technological processes in integrated steel complexes and mid to high volatile hard coking coal required in coke ovens.
Amit Chhabra
CEO
As CEO of Anglian Business Solutions, Amit brings with him his vast international business experience and a strong network of professionals. Amit is a finance professional with over 14 years of experience of which the last 9 years were with ArcelorMittal.
Amit held various responsibilities within ArcelorMittal and worked in Mexico, Ukraine, Luxembourg and France. In his last role, Amit had responsibilities relating to fund raising in Group Treasury based in Paris. Previous to that, he has held various finance roles at Asia, Africa and CIS segment (based in Luxembourg) and in plant locations in Mexico and Ukraine.
Prior to joining ArcelorMittal, Amit worked with Citigroup and KPMG in India.
Amit is a Chartered Accountant from India with CFA education from CFA Institute, USA.
S.P. Sinha
CEO, Commodities
S.P. Sinha has over 40 years of experience in the engineering industry in the areas of design, planning, exports, trade and purchasing. In his previous role, Mr. Sinha was Regional Purchasing Head in ArcelorMittal for their Kazakhstan and Ukraine plants till he returned to India in Dec, 2009.
He started his career with Heavy Engineering Corporation, Ranchi from where he was sent to the then Soviet Union for advance training in the designing and exploitation of sinter plant. During his 18 years tenure in the corporation, he was deputed to the Embassy of India, Moscow as First Secretary to develop cooperation in the field of machine building between the two countries.
He joined Mittal Steel in early 1996 as General Manager Commercial in their Four Million Ton Integrated Steel Plant in Kazakhstan and was later promoted as Director Purchasing. Early in 2006, he moved to ArcelorMittal’s Seven Million Ton Integrated Steel Plant at Kryviy Rig in Ukraine. His responsibilities covered all commercial activities and purchasing including procuring raw materials, capex, outside services, logistics etc. Coal and Anthracite were large budget procurements of over USD 600 million per year.S.P. Sinha has a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri.
Sanjeev Verma
Director, Omega Bright Steel & Components
Sanjeev Verma brings with him 33 years of experience in Bright Bar manufacturing and marketing as Director of Omega Bright Steel and Components. His knowledge, expertise and networks in the sector are valuable assets to the company.
Sanjeev has been involved with the Omega Bright Steel since 1978. He has been responsible in various capacities for the sales, marketing and procurement departments of the company. He was responsible for the procurement of raw material, expansion of client base and for the overall functioning of the company’s plant in Faridabad, Haryana.
He was also responsible for the purchase and up-gradation of machinery and facilities at the plant which is currently the most modern Bright Bar manufacturing plant in North India.
Sanjeev has a Bachelors degree in Sciences from Kurushetra University, Haryana.
H.K. Singh
COO, Bright Bar
H.K. Singh has more than 35 years of experience in the Bright Bar industry in areas such as capacity building, business development, product development, production and sales. In his last capacity as Business Head of Sunflag Iron & Steel Company Limited, he was in charge of product development, OEM approvals and increasing customer base.
H.K. Singh started his career as a Maintenance Engineer but through his hard work and dedication, he rose to the rank of General Manager in Chase Bright Steel Limited – Mumbai. Rising up the ranks, he managed to gain valuable skills in the overall management and production of Bright Steel. In 1991, he joined Arkkays National Engineering & Foundry Company, as Senior Vice President and during his tenure there he was instrumental in increasing production & sales from 3000 Metric Tons per annum to 18000 Metric Tons per annum.
His next stint was as Business –in- Charge at Usha Martin (2006 – 08) where he helped set up their Bright Bar plant in Sriperumbudur, Chennai and managed to raise production to more than twice the regular output. Before joining Sunflag he headed all operations at Premier Steel Pvt. Ltd. as the Executive Director.
H.K. Singh has a Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical) from Banaras Engineering College (now an IIT).
Steel
Bright steel bar, a value added product, used largely by the automotive industry is rapidly growing at an average rate of 20% every year. Pune and Chennai have emerged as major automobile hubs with many big automobile manufactures setting up base around the two cities. To take advantage of this increasing demand we have tied up with Omega Bright Steel, North India’s leading Bright Bar producers to set up two, state of the art, automated Bright Bar processing plants in Pune and Chennai. The Pune plant will be operational by the end of 2011 while the Chennai plant is set to open by 2013.
The existing manufacturers in the region have failed to take advantage of the demand due to lack of modernisation and automation as they are still running outdated plans which fail to produce high quality products. We intend to bridge this gap by using the latest technology and machinery to ensure high quality Bright Bar products while increasing productivity and performance. Our plants will be supplying to the local market as well as for exports.
Coal
Coal with its various characteristics is a key fossil fuel that is used in boilers of thermal power plants, coke making facilities and for pulverized injection. Anglian Business Solutions is focused on developing its business through the supply of Steam Coal, Anthracite and Metallurgical Coal to end users.
Significant shortages of these commodities are reported worldwide and India continues to experience a deficit in this fuel to meet its power generation targets during the twelfth five year plan. Anglian Business Solutions hope to emerge as a key supplier of these grades of coal in India by utilising its network of partners in Australia, Indonesia, South Africa and U.S.A who would fulfil the requirements of the end users in India.
Football
Anglian is firmly motivated to take Indian football to the next level by scouting, training and promoting Indian talent. Through our investments in I-league club Shillong Lajong and Danish club FC Vestsjælland, we will provide a platform for young Indian footballers to have access to skills, technology and the experience of professional football with the ultimate aim of taking talented players to European Leagues. We also plan to eventually set up a top of the line football academy in India, with technical know how and skills being imported from Europe.
